Unfortunately local is often much more expensive. A percentage of people might be able to put that aside, but until it is addressed there will be a barrier.

When people talking about buying local I still wonder where the goods are actually coming from. Are people willing to eat only locally grown food? I don’t think so. A small vocal minority might shout ‘yes we will’ but how do you think big box stores got the domination they currently have?
