I don't see anything in this article saying why you think you made $3k (or how).

If it is an issue of 'supported countries' a lot of that is beyond Medium's control. In my company as well we cannot take affiliates from certain countries because there is no way to pay them (Paypal not working or other electronic means).

I would be curious for you to write an article that actually gives us details of the problem you're having, because I see this as a great business opportunity.
